The Headquarters Laboratory is located in Heidelberg (Germany), with additional sites in Barcelona (Spain), Grenoble (France), Hamburg (Germany), Hinxton near Cambridge (UK), Rome (Italy).

The EMBL Grenoble Site has an active research program in structural and molecular biology, making use of synchrotron radiation facilities (ESRF and EMBL@PETRA-III) and electron microscopy platforms available at different EMBL sites. In this context, the instrumentation team recruits a technician/junior engineer.

The candidates should have a university degree in electronics, mechatronics or an equivalent qualification. They should have trained in electronic CAD design (Schematics, programmable logic) and PLC progaming. Knowledge in physics would be appreciated. We expect the candidates to have  proven experience in electronics. Familiarity with motion control and industrial programming languages would be a plus.
